I saw this movie back in October- I was really looking forward to it, as I love Clint Eastwood films, but couldn’t help but feel pretty let down.
Based on a true story, Angelina Jolie plays Christine Collins, a single working mom in the 1920’s. When her son goes missing, she turns to the LAPD who bring back a boy that she claims is not her child.
#16/40: Flags of Our Fathers
I'm generally not HUGE on war movies (my boyfriend downright hates them, but if they look good I'll give them a chance), and this one was pretty standard. I thought it was very aesthetically pleasing, which is unfortunate because the only two Oscars it's up for are technical ones (Sound and Sound Editing), and a good memorable score, but the story was a bit of a mess. It jumped from time period to time period, and had that blasted narration that I generally loathe.
